Why choose to make a watch for the monthly challenge? I discovered that the charity of the month was autism speaks. One of the challenges for someone with high functioning Autism is to learn to tell the time. But its more complicated than that, it’s being able to equate what the time is with what’s going on around you as well. Time also links in with routine, (as far as I can tell), because its important to be able to organise yourself into a daily, weekly and monthly routine. When to eat, when to sleep, when to wash. Maybe even then, you may forget to look to see what the time is, so you may not do these routines at the same time each day. Even if you don’t, isn’t it strange that time goes by anyway, even if you are not watching it. This is only from a mother’s perspective though, my son probably disagrees with all I’ve said. He may say that its nothing to do with time at all, but then he is much smarter than me, and is more concerned with the speed of light! So it may be my artist’s mind that has conjured up a fantasy, that ‘time is important.’ none of us know how much of it we have left.
I wanted this gift of time to be pretty and ‘over the top’, which it is. I just hope someone out there will get the benefit of the watch as well as the charity, as it’s made with love.

April showers bring May’s …”Flower”?
I know Walt Disney had a skunk named Flower in the wonderful creation “Bambi”, but during a family drive on a wet and rainy day in April, we happened upon this little muskrat who was out happily munching on some vegetation as the sun began to come out.
We had laughed and called it “Flower” because it had reminded us of it’s counterpart in the Disney movie!! I had to take a picture of it! It was just too cute and too funny!!

April 2009 Challenge Entry – First Bed by WolfgangZehen
April 10, 2009
”Snuggy snuggy box
Big spaces scare me, not soft.
More adventures soon”
This is the first time I was able to capture a picture of Shukran (Arabic for “thank you”), then one month old – so young that her eyes were still blue. It was the day she arrived, the first time in her bed (formerly a small rock fountain base). She looks so young! It has nothing to do with being small; she looks like she’s been poked with a stick. That lasted for three months, and then, just sly evil or exhaustion took over.
4×6 color photo printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper, shot with an HP Photosmart R847 camera.
Haiku printed on 100% recycled Ivory Granite paper.
Black or brown solid wood frames available; let me know your preference with your order. Shown in black frame.
Frame hangs on wall or stands up on shelf/table.
Frame measures 9 3/8 high x 7 3/8 wide.

This exotic earring set is from my Orient Express Collection. Delightful and seductive, Momo Flower is a mixture of Lampwork beads, Swarovski crystal and Sterling Silver wire and chain. The delicate nature of this design as well as how much it moves and sparkles is difficult to convey in the pictures. (this design is soo beautiful in person) Divinely femine this is an amazing accessory for any outfit. I used official Blue Fire Lampwork beads. The quality of their lampwork beads is amazing.
Approximately 4 inches long.
Packaged nicely in a box with pretty ribbon for give giving.
100% of the sale proceeds will be donated to Etsy for Charity (EFC) Charity of the Month.
Letterpress printed in dark purple and passionate red on a speckled card stock. You will receive 4 cards, one of each design and they come with matching red envelopes. Size 5.5″ x 4.25″. Blank inside for your own message of love.
